To serve you better, please read the following information concerning metals transactions. Northern Metal Recycling protects itself and its customers by exercising strict control over the materials it handles. We operate in full compliance with all applicable environmental and regulatory codes.

Minnesota statute requires us to record the details of every transaction including the seller's name, address and license number, and to pay by check, not cash. Note:This law does not apply to Aluminum can (used beverage containers) sales. Metro area locations also follow the voluntary Recyclers Uniform Acceptance Policy.

If you are selling car bodies, please visit our University Ave Vehicle Recycling, Glenwood, St. Cloud, Willmar, MN or Bismarck, ND facilities.

If you are a regular generator of metal scrap, we can provide your site with specialized containers and equipment to help you maximize your recycling efficiency and value.

Northern Metal Recycling does not accept any Dangerous Materials! Please refer to our Unaccepted & Provisionally Accepted Materials list.

Northern Metal Recycling expects incoming loads to be free of dirt and other non-metallic debris. Weight adjustments will be made for excessively dirty loads.

We handle over 100 grades of ferrous and nonferrous metals. See our Scrapbook for a general description of some of the types of materials we handle. Be aware that not all materials are accepted at every site. Please check in advance with your preferred Northern Metal Recycling location.
